The parable of the leavened loaf

Matthew 13:33-35Mark 4:33-34
33He spoke to them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven that a woman took and mixed into three measures of flour until it had all been leavened.”
34All these things Jesus spoke to the crowds in parables0x3B he did not speak to them without using a parable. 35This was to fulfill what had been spoken through the prophet:“I will open my mouth in parables0x3BI will declare things hidden from the foundation of the world.”[*] 33With many similar parables he spoke the word to them, to the extent that they were able to understand it. 34He did not speak to them without using a parable, but privately he explained everything to his disciples.
