The parable of the leavened loaf

| 33He spoke to them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven that a woman took and mixed into three measures of flour until it had all been leavened.” | |
| 34All these things Jesus spoke to the crowds in parables0x3B he did not speak to them without using a parable. 35This was to fulfill what had been spoken through the prophet:“I will open my mouth in parables0x3BI will declare things hidden from the foundation of the world.”[*] | 33With many similar parables he spoke the word to them, to the extent that they were able to understand it. 34He did not speak to them without using a parable, but privately he explained everything to his disciples. |
