Luke 17:22-37
22Then he said to the disciples, “The days will come when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it. 23People will say to you, ‘Behold, here he is!’ or, ‘Behold, there he is!’ Do not go off with them or run after them, 24for just as lightning flashes from one part of the sky and shines to the other, so will the Son of Man be in his day. 25But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. 26Just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the days of the Son of Man. 27People were eating and drinking, marrying and being given in marriage, until the day when Noah went into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. 28It will be the same as it was in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. 29But on the day when Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. 30So will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed. 31On that day, he who is on the housetop and whose goods are in the house must not come down to get them. Likewise, he who is in the field must not turn back. 32Remember Lot's wife. 33Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will preserve it. 34I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed0x3B one will be taken and the other will be left. 35Two women will be grinding grain together0x3B one will be taken and the other will be left.” 37Then the disciples said to him in response, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where the body is, there the vultures will be gathered together.”
